Name: Polina
Job: Growth Specialist & Partner Marketer
What do you do in your role?
As a Growth Specialist & Partner Marketer at SOLIDWORKS, my role is all about creating opportunities for growth, both for our business and for our partners. I work at the intersection of marketing, technology and partnerships, bringing people and ideas together to create impactful marketing campaigns, build relationships and connect our solutions with the right audiences.
Here's what a day in Polina's life looks like!
9-10AM: Starting the day & setting priorities
I usually start my day by catching up on emails, messages and campaign updates, and getting a clear picture of what needs my attention. With several projects running simultaneously, this is a good time to organize my priorities and make sure I'm set up for the day ahead.
10-11AM: Team brainstorm
Next up is often a team meeting or brainstorming session. We bounce ideas around, challenge each other and think about new ways to engage our audiences. I love these sessions because some of the best ideas come from simply putting different perspectives together.
11AM-12PM: Aligning with Tech Sales
This is where marketing meets the business side. I might meet with our Tech Sales colleagues to align on an upcoming SOLIDWORKS campaign, discussing the audience we want to reach, the messaging, the campaign goals and how we can work together to make it successful.
12-1PM: Lunch & a reset
Time to step away from the screen, grab lunch at our canteen downstairs and recharge by playing some table tennis in the game room. I've learned that taking a proper break in the middle of a busy day makes a real difference to the second half of the day.
1-2PM: Partner marketing
Partner collaboration is a big part of my role, so this hour might be spent meeting with one of our partners to discuss a joint campaign. Recently, some particularly exciting conversations have been around SOLIDWORKS AI and virtual companions, exploring how we can turn these emerging technology themes into campaigns that resonate with customers.
2-3PM: Campaign performance & data analysis
Time to put on my analytical hat. I dive into the performance of our digital campaigns across platforms such as Meta and Google, looking at metrics, audience behavior and conversion data. The goal isn't just to see what happened, but to understand why it happened and what we can do differently.
3-4PM: Optimizing campaigns
Once I've looked at the data, I can start turning those insights into action. I might adjust targeting, creative, messaging or budgets to improve campaign performance. This is one of my favorite parts of growth marketing: you're constantly testing, learning and optimizing rather than simply launching something and moving on.
4-5PM: Partner & campaign follow-ups
The afternoon often brings more collaboration: following up with partners, reviewing campaign assets, coordinating next steps or working with internal teams to keep projects moving. Partner marketing involves a lot of relationship-building, so communication is just as important as the campaign strategy itself.
5-6PM: Reflection & learning
I enjoy wrapping up my day by writing a list of projects and tasks that I accomplished today. It's a very rewarding feeling! Then I set my status to either do not disturb or out of office and spend some time doing one of the learning courses in the LinkedIn library or in our internal educational platform. Tech never stands still and neither can tech marketing. Staying curious, embracing change and continuously learning are what keep us moving forward.
How do you unwind at the end of a workday?
I enjoy going for a Pilates or yoga class after work, meeting up with my friends for a board game night, or just staying in to paint or read.
What do you love about your job and your employer?
My role combines three things I love most about working in tech: people, creativity and strategy. I particularly enjoy the fact that I can use two of my core strengths (analytical thinking and creativity) in my work daily. No two days are quite the same, which is both challenging and inspiring. Working for SOLIDWORKS feels very rewarding as I get to interact with the community of engineers who are our software's number one fans! What I appreciate about working for Dassault Systèmes are the opportunities to grow within the company (horizontal and vertical) and a healthy life & work balance.
