At HerFuture, our events are designed to give you exclusive access to amazing events, career opportunities, inspiring role models, and networking experiences that are guaranteed to help shape your (very bright!) future. To make sure every event runs smoothly and is fair to everyone in the community, here’s everything you need to know about how they work.
📌 How to Sign Up for Events
- Participation in events is selection-based (please read on to learn more about how selection works.)
- Users can request to be notified when registration opens via the notification feature on the event page in the HerFuture app.
- Once registration opens, users may sign up, but this does not confirm attendance.
- HerFuture will notify accepted users via the app and email.
- Accepted users must confirm attendance through the app by the specified deadline. Failure to confirm will result in placement on the waitlist.
- Users who have confirmed attendance may cancel participation up to 48 hours before the event unless otherwise stated on the event page. Please note that any retractions/cancelations hurt your track record (please read on to learn more about how selection works)
- Late retractions within 48 hours require direct contact with HerFuture via the phone number provided in the app. This is the only way of contact that will be taken into consideration. Users will not reach out to individual HerFuture employees.
- No-shows or late cancellations will result in charges as stated on the event page and may lead to penalties, including potential bans. Please refer to our Terms of Use.
📌 Why We Are Strict About Attendance
- No-shows and late cancellations hurt everyone. Organizing events costs time, effort, and money. If you cancel late or don’t show up, we cannot fill your seat last minute, and someone else loses an opportunity.
- We are always oversubscribed. Many people want to attend, so if you’re lucky enough to secure a spot, please respect it.
- There is a no-show & late cancellation fee. This is to ensure fairness and cover the wasted cost when someone does not show up.
📌 Professionalism: Be On Time & Stay Until the End
- Keep it professional: arrive on time and stay for the duration of the event. Besides the community, companies and speakers notice latecomers and early leavers, which can create a negative impression and reflect poorly on you. As a career-driven platform, we want for you to be able to showcase your best self.
- If you leave early, you are not fully utilizing the opportunity. Attending an event is more than just showing up—it’s about learning, networking, and making an impact.
- Being punctual and staying for the full event is part of professionalism and good etiquette. It shows respect for the opportunity and the organizers who are dedicating their time.
📌 How the Selection System Works
- Selections are not random. Every event has specific criteria, and our system helps us match attendees based on those factors.
- Your attendance record matters. If you no-show, cancel late, or leave early, it significantly reduces your chances of getting selected for future events.
- Your engagement matters. If you actively participate, it increases your chances of being invited again.
- We collaborate with our event partners. Different events focus on different profiles, so selection depends on who fits the criteria.
- Think of it as your track record. If you respect the process, your chances of being invited again will increase.
💡 Final Reminder: Respect the Opportunity
Every HerFuture event is designed to help you grow and connect with top industry professionals. When you respect the process, show up on time, and stay engaged, you increase your chances of benefiting from even more amazing opportunities in the future.
Thank you for being part of the HerFuture community! Let’s continue to support each other and make the most of these unique experiences.
